This presentation will provide an examination of the adolescent demographics of eating disorders (ED) and substance use disorders (SUD). Dr. Dennis will review the research on the etiology of eating disorders and explore common psychological characteristics of individuals with ED and their relationship to SUDs. Appropriate treatment methodologies utilizing the recovery and 12-step models will be presented.
