Young people are exposed to a steady stream of digitally altered images and media messages that scream, “you’re not good enough.” This interactive session will offer attendees a close-up look at how glossy media fantasies are created and how NEDA is working to build a nation of youth leaders and change makers through Proud2Bme.org and the recently launched Proud2Bme On Campus initiative. It also includes a sneak preview clip of the new media literacy documentary, The Illusionists, directed by Elena Rossini.
